Can Methadone Make the Tops of My Feet Go Numb?

     Sometimes the tops of both of my feet go numb.  It drives me crazy!!  They will do it for several days off and on (usually when I am sitting down or laying down) then it will quit and not do it for a month or two.  I read somewhere that this could be a side effect from Methadone.  Is this true?  And if it is, why????  Is this dangerous?  It seems like a drug that would make your feet go numb is probably not good for you.

     My other question is why does Methadone make me so HOT!!!!!!!!!!  I sweat all day long, every day, my hair will be wet and sweat running down my face.  I cannot stand this anymore.  How can I make this stop or can I?  I dose at 100 mg of the liquid Methadone.  Is this too high?  Do you sweat more the higher your dose?  Is there anything I can take to counteract this problem?  I have never done as good as I have  these last 4 years.  Getting on Methadone literally saved my life!  I have arthritis really bad and have spent all of my life trying to find pain medication to alleviate the pain.  But, everyone that has gone down that road knows that all pain pills are short lived.  Eventually they don't work anymore and you have to take more and more.  I am working now and supporting myself and my son.  I am able to work everyday and I don't event mind working!  The Methadone takes away my arthritis pain and allows me to work.  I do take Advil when it rains outside to help with the swelling in my joints.  I also take Osteo-Bi-Flex to rebuild cartilage and lubricate my joints.  But, the sweating is a real big problem.  Does anybody know how to stop the sweating or how to at least lessen the sweating???  I do not want to have to come off the Methadone because I am afraid I will just go back to looking for pain pills or doing Crystal Meth or Cocaine again!!  And I definitely do not want that!!!!!   I have been clean and on Methadone for 4 years but the constant sweating has got to stop!  PLEASE HELP ME IF ANYONE HAS ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ANSWERS!  I heard that taking the wafers instead of the liquid does not make you sweat as bad.  Is this true?

All i can say is when i was abusing methadone my highest dose in one day was 80 mg
(wafers) and i didn't experience any numbness on the top of my feet. once the top of my head felt numb for about 15 mins.
I do however think that the numbness could be from the arthritis or a result of low blood pressure from maybe to high of a dose.
I do stress the "could" & "maybe".
I suggest talking to a doctor and scheduling some type of physical.
If you are having shallow breathing; the lack of oxygen in your blood may cause this, or even swelling of your feet from the arthritis.
If this is something that worrries you; don't hesitate to talk to your doctor! Please!
