Can anyone help me quit my awfull habbit?

by nathan1991, Dec 14, 2008 01:52AM
hey im nathan, im 17 and have been smoking bud since i was 14. It was only when i was about 15 i started smoking everyday, i know its not that much but i want to quit and im struggling a lot to get threw it. My sisters boyfriend who i live with also smokes everyday which doesn't help my habit. You might think im lying or talking **** but im not sure how to pass it up, ive been struggling with school and my social life, i use to be out there and was confident in front of anyone but thats all changed. i feel as if no body wants to have anything to do with me.  I get really angry if i haven't smoked in a day or two which i hate because i usually take it out on my family or friends. I didnt no who to talk to, so i decided to go to forums as its a little more secretive. i feel like im alone and there's no one i can go to, to help me. i need to talk to someone whos had similiar problems and are willing to help me out. how can i become myself again and kick this habit? if anyone can just give me some ideas or ways, it would be much appreciated.

well, there is NO physical wothdrawl from stopping the smoking of weed.....so, that's good at least.

but, i think the mental part of any addiction is the kicker.

i think first of all............if being around someone who smokes everyday is going to hinder u from quitting, then stop being around that person. i smoked in high school NON Stop because of my bf at the time. Once we broke up, I never smoked again.  (well, i did here n there but it was years and years later.....)

secondly, why do u wanna stop?  when u wanna smoke, think about the things that matter to u and what u are gaining by not smoking anymore.

i dont think there is any magic thing that will make u not wanna stop.  i just know it is next to impossible to stop doing a drug if u are constantly around it. that is nothing against u or any addict.........that is just human  nature.
