Can i take zopiclone while coming off valium?

If these two drugs are cross tollerant will your physical addiction will just swap over and you'll go into withdrawl once you stop taking the zopiclone, even though zopiclone is not a benzo? planning to be on it 10 days max

I am taking zopliclone to come of Valium. The withdrawals from, benzos were way too much for me. I have a limited amount of zopliclone, I don't expect the withdrawals to be as bad as seven years of benzos. The doctor thought it was a good option but I'd love any feedback.

i understand what you mean, i know all about swapping addictions unfortunately. thanks for your help i was just concerned that since they act on the same receptors it would be like taking a benzo but that doesn't seem to be the case

It's not a benzo but it IS a sleep med...

If its helping you when you're off the Valium and you only plan on taking it for two days, I don't see a huge problem there.

Just one thing though:  part of addiction is constantly taking a pill for every thing we feel that is unpleasant....Unpleasant things will happen to us and we need to learn how to cope with those things/feelings without a pill. It's much healthier...

should add that i had been off valium for two weeks and am now back taking them 5 days. I'm not taking about abusing the zopiclone just one 7.5mg in the morning and at night as i still have bad panic disorder

i'm not really fully addicted the last time i took a break from valium the 4th and 5th night since my last dose i didn't sleep great and slight rebound anxiety. thanks for your help
