Can u OD on melatonin?

I bought some Melatonin & the day b4 yesterday I took one table (like it says to do so) & didn't get sleepy. So I took another tablet...still no sleep. I'd REALLY like to get some sleep tonight but I don't wanna make myself sick. I'm not taking any otc sleep aid bc my dr told me not to. So how much Melatonin did you all take when detoxing? How many tablets can I take? Anyone know?

my best suggestion for you, would be to call your local pharmacy that's 24 hours and ask to speak with the pharmacist. they're always able to help you with questions like that.

taking more won't help. actually, it may do the opposite. if it isn't working...you'll just have to tough it out. melatonin works best at regulating sleep cycles...it can sometimes be helpful for detox, but not for everyone.
