Cancer

Well, I have a biopsy on my cervix on Thursday.  Cancer runs in my family and there is a 90% chance that I have cervical cancer.  Problem is that a half hour before the procdure they give you a pain pill.  I don't want one but at the same time I don't want to hurt.  What to do?  What to do?

Thanks for the support.  I have no pain pills anywhere so that's not an issuse.  I've already made up my mind not to take it.  I will probably take an 800mg IB.  I've dealt with pain before and I'm a trooper!  I guess right now it's the nerves kicking in!!!

its one pill you dont have access to any others do you ? I have not had it done so i dont know how painful it is. I do know just because you are an addict does not mean you should have to suffer in pain ...hopefully someone in here has had it done and can give you a better idea of how painful it may be

I hope everything goes OK.Cervical cancer if caught early is easily cured.Tell the doctor to give you toradol...(not tramadol) because it is a very effective antiinflammatory  pain reliever and not an opiate.Big hugs to you.
