Can't believe what I got myself into now!

I just discovered today that Ativan is a benzo, I've been taking anywhere from 1/2 to 1 a night for the last 3 weeks so I can sleep while coming off the norco, which was going very well, until this morning when I woke up having this weird pulsating feeling in my body and head.  I kept telling my fiance that I feel like my blood vessels are throbbing all over and the back of my head feels weird almost like a hang over without pain, a little dizzy, very strange and he said I wonder if it's the Ativan and I said but I haven't been taking any for the last couple days and he said, "exactly!"  So I looked it up and sure enough, they are highly addictive and a major symptom is the blood vessels pulsating, couldn't believe what I was ready, damn!  Something else to deal with now.  I think, however that this will not be a long drawn out thing as I was not taking much and not for very long, at least I hope not.  I'm sticking to the Melatonin and antihistimine and that's it, I'm so tired of this BS!!!  I've been without the norco now for 10 days.

Guess I was wrong, it came back with a vengeance last night.  My head and heart were pounding so hard, my fiance was ready to take me to the hospital.  But I think it was more anxiety because I laid down and he laid with me, holding me and everything calmed down.  I took a melatonin and finally fell asleep. I slept for 5 hours, was awake until the second one took effect and slept another 5 hours.  Although I'm feeling much better today, my head still feels like it's in a haze.  Trying to get the energy to go to the store, but I find myself just sitting down and now here I am on the computer.  I'm sooooo ready for this to be over!

I'm already not feeling the pulsating thing that I was feeling, just feeling really tired and wanting to sneeze, but that's been going on.  I hope this is a sign that the pulsating symptom is gone.  Thank you for your response.  Good luck to you too.
