ok.... it seems you are having anxiety and cravings right now...why do you say you should not be stress out , cheesy ? I know you want to fall asleep but it is not happening at the moment so take it easy now, please.... the first thing is to calm down now...wds and detoxing are a very stressful time and this time will pass too so don't feel bad for feeling stressed because it is quite normal, the same with the lack of sleep and those thoughts racing inside our minds... breath deeply and very slowly and think that everything is normal now and that you gonna pull through...

you say that your body is going crazy ? take a long hot bath.... keep breathing deep..concentrate on your breathing and calm your thoughts...after the bath, drink some hot milk and try to find something to watch like a comedy movie or something you liike and just concentrate in what you are doing at the moment, don't think further... don't panic, you will be all right, cheesy :)

Please drink plenty of water, and fruit juice. War baths do help. Also you might get some Vitamin B6, and Niacin. I would avoid the milk, because you would have to drink a quart to get any relief, and then it's going to give you diarrhea. Stay away from dairy period. Produces more acid in the stomach. Lots of fruits, and vegetables is your best bet in eating, and also some good vitiamins help. Like any multiple vitiamin. Drinking losts of water will flush the system faster with cranberry juice if you don't have any diuretics. The main thing is to keep your self dehydrated. I'm only telling you this because it's worked for me so far, but everyone is different when it comes to treatment.

Just telling you what worked for me, and it may not work for everyone, but remember dehydration will kill you quickly.

Franny .... i was not giving general diet indications after detoxing, i agree that a diet with diary products is not the best and i was advicing her on just how to overcome a night of stress and anxiety... heated milk is rich on the amino Ltryptophan and this was the reason i told her to drink it as she said she can not go to any store to get anything and i assumed she has not got anything to help her with sleep. Dehydration is worrying but now she is going through a night of stress and anxiety and she needs relaxing, imo.

cheesy, how are you doing , dear ? :)

One of the things that helped with with withdrawal? Clinodine. It's a mild BP medication, and he helps a great deal. Potassium is very important in helping with muscle cramps. Water is still the source of the best fluid, and the Vitamin water is great, because it's less abrasive to you digestive track than the vitamin pills. Also, Niacin, and Vitamin B-6 helps a great deal. It's been working for me, and I was on these things almost 4 years, as well as Fentynal patches. Everyone's chemistry is different. So please keep in mind what works for some may not be as reliable for others. Best of luck, and I pray you get through this very soon. It's make's you understand why so many addicts cannot detox without a rehab! This stuff is horrible to be addicted to, but works great for pain. I still believe it's the purpose of some pain clinics to get you hooked. Especially if you have good insurance it makes them less happy to let you go. I know this is a fact, because I've ebben fighting with mine for 7 months trying to get them to lower the does to detox me, and they refused until I threatened to get an Attorney! I would still be careful with any dairy. Notorious as the main cause of diarrhea when detoxing!

Thank You laurel, I will make it, and as long as abuse is not done? some folks simply have few problems with these Narcotics. I apologize for being slightly confused, but it's hasn't been that many days since I detoxed of the patches, and now detoxing off of percocets! They are even harder>

BTW Laurel, that's a myth about the warm milk! You would have to drink several gallons to actually get any benefits. However,  dispelling that myth? What ever works for you go for it!

OMG, Cheesy, Whats up girl? I thought you had flown the coop. Laurel has like 2 years clean. I would listen to her. Not to be rude, but 1 day clean or 2 yrs.... you get the point. It is still a full moon and I haven't added any drama to the forum thus far. But there it is.
I hope you are asleep by now, and I won't be on later so I just wanted to say that I have missed hearing form you and am glad you are still fighting the good fight. Hang in there, you know what to do. Send me or any of the people that you are comfortable with a message if we can help. Just keep posting. When you drop out, it makes us worry. Good luck and God Bless.

i would like to add that this is a great place for people to come - how awesome it is that all of you were up at the buttcrack of dawn posting for Cheesy!  How wonderful that is!  I too have gone through the wds of large quantities of opiates.  I think brain-power is huge.  The comments up top about concentration - hot baths - etc, are wonderful!  I wish I had commenters like you while I was going through night one and two.  NO SLEEP!  But you know what, night three bingo! 5 hrs, night 4, bingo! 6 hrs!  It comes back slowly but IT DOES COME BACK.  So Cheesy, I hope you are still clean.  If you do have anything in the house, flush it away!  You've got two days to just relax around the house, and do nothing but get yourself right!  Immodium AD and Benadryl helped me a lot.  Along with lots of gatorade,  and yogurts.  That was all I could put in my system for the first few days.  And I was hooked on 30 - 30mg pills a day! for years!  It's all mental - stick with it! before you know it you;ll be 30 days clean and feel like a completely new person!  Don't stress about what you did, think about how great you're going to be on the other side!  Hang in there, cheesy!

Cheesy~  How many pills are you down to per day?  Have you thought about getting some outside support through AA/NA?

You really can stop. The anxiety passes;it just needs time. If you focus on how rotten you feel, you'll feel rotten. Attitude is everything!

at my worst i was using anywhere from 100mgs -150 mgs a day of percocet, vicodin, oxy, whatever i could find.
right now i am down to about 10-15 mgs a day, and i have only been take something in the morning. i have tried CT and i just failed :( so i have been keeping the dose super super low and i have been still feeling the withdrawls pretty bad... physically and mentally.. mainly anxiety. i was CT for 6 days and then i had a friend pass away and went right back to my old ways :( i am trying really hard.
and i did attend my first NA meeting about a week and a half ago. most of the people there seemed like they didnt even want to be there in the first place. i felt really uncomfortable there. it definitely wasnt the right group for me. i think they were all court ordered. i just need to keep trying. i want this so bad, its all i really think about.. i am working hard towards being sober and doing my best right now to deal with everything and trying to get clean.
