Carisoprodol

I take 8 (2capsules 4xday)300mg Neurontin  for damaged nerves from brain surgery.  
Recently prescribed Soma for leg injury (ligament & quad muscle
tear).  (1 every 6 hours)

Is it safe for me to take these 2 drugs together?

I take 2 Somas 350 mg once a day with 3 Vicodin 5/500 2x a day. I have no problems with it excpet for I can't walk. It really screws me up. Not really a good feeling, but boy do I sleep!

I currently take 6 300 Mg Neurotin (600Mg x 3/day) and 6 to 8 (usually 8) 350Mg Carisoprodol (1 to 2 4x/day) for relief of nerve pain and systemic progressive chronic osteoarthritis.  I have had lower back surgery(Lumbar L4-L5 w/ implanted instrumentation - fusion, laminectomy and discectomy) in order to keep walking after my siatica in my right leg reached the point of immobilization. I have been on this regimine for almost ten years.  I have tried flexoril (nasty personality reactions) and most of the new drugs such as Vioxx with little or no success.  I take 225 Mg of Indomethicine (75 Mg SA x 3/day) to help with the keeping the swelling down.  I have little or no effects from this regimine, no trouble maintaining a normal lifestyle, working at a very detail oriented computer position and being as active as my medical condition allows. Two knee operations and a radical prostatectomy (prostate 40% bilaterally involved, but w/ clean margins and clear lymph nodes) round out my past 24 months.  During recovery from the prostate cancer I was also on Mepegran Fortis (25 Mg every 4 hours)while in the Hospital and for 10 days following surgery in addition to what I normally take.  I get regular blood work and liver panels done (usually every 90 - 120 days) with all results falling within normal parameters. I have not found any problems with these medications. Thank you
