Celebrating 150 clean days today!

Celebrating 150 clean days today!

Just to let all of you know that staying clean can be done with the right help and attitude!  I am getting recovery care, and eventhough it has been rough at times for me to stay clean, I have done it!  I have had a lot going on lately and been super, crazy busy, but I am going to be around a little more now like I used to be!  I miss all of you and need your support now as I always have.

For the new people......withdrawal is bad.  NO question about it.  But if you can see past the week or so of symptoms, and get the help you need as far as support, then you can make it!  The WDs go away, and the good life starts when the pills STOP!  I have never been more happy and content than I am now.

It is possible!!!  I'm proof that people can abuse drugs for a LOT of years and still come out of it with the right help!  Good luck to all of you!  Since I haven't been around much, can you all please tell me how long you have been clean, so I can catch up??!!!

Have an awesome day everyone!

i am currently going through a oxycotin WD. I am on vacation with my family. The WD has been hell. I was thinking of going to a med center, but what would they do? I am so productive on opiates and am scared to stop. I feel that my brain chemistry will never be the same, do I need a methadone clinic or what. I know I could get clean, but will I be productive. I have no get up and go without it, what do I do?

You can SO TOTALLY be productive off pills.  The thing is...you are not going to be productive if you STAY on pills!  The first week is rough, but you will notice improvement every week after that, until one week, you just feel good enough to do whatever you want!  I promise it's worth it.  You can do it!  Just keep putting one hour after another and soon you will have a lot of time built up!

Thanks Gnarly and Wishful!  And congrats on the 82 days!  That's wonderful....

Jiimmy, I have no anxiety at all.  Zero!  And most of the time I sleep well.  5 hours a night usually.  Sometimes a little more if I'm exhausted.  I still have the occasional night where I wake up at 3 am for NO reason, and I get irritated.  But now I just get up and move on.  It's not a WD thing, so it doesn't drive me nuts like it did back then!  And the way I see it, that happens to everyone....even "earth people' as I call non-addicts! ; )
