Chlodine for Tramadol Withdrawal?

Chlodine for Tramadol Withdrawal?

Hey there!  Ok took the jump yesterday from a 20 pill a day habit.  I tapered down to 6 and then saw a doc and got on Prestiq (anti-depressant), Clonidine for the withdrawal and Klonopin for Anxiety and she gave me Ambien CR for at night and in 3 days, I went CT yesterday.  At first it really took away the WD feeling, but last night it was torture.  I took the ambien, the klonopin and I took .1 mg of clonidine. and my legs were driving me absolutley insane, up all night in pain.
My question is, can I take a higher dose of the .1mg clonidine to help with this for the next few nights until it subsides or is this drug too dangerous to increase the dose.  I had by blood pressure checked yesterday and it said it was normal. But I would really not like for my heart to stop beating ya know.  Anyone have any experience with this?  This was the alternative to Suboxone, the doc said we could try it if this was too difficult, but I really do not want to go that route if at all possible.

Congrats on getting clean!  I too use the clonodine,  but I actually found what worked even better was a scolding hot bath.  It calmed my legs and allowed me to sleep.  Even for a few hours.  Good luck to u and keep posting the folks here are amazing!

Hi!  You "can" take a higher dose, but run it by your doc.  Honestly, that isn't going to help your legs though.  Get some Hyland's Leg Cramps.  It is a miracle drug!  Well, not drug.  It's natural, but it has quinine in it and I could not have lived without it during tram wds.  If you will take a few of them at night with the other meds you are on, you will get relief from the leg pain.  I would almost guarantee it!!!!! : )  Good luck sweetie!  You can do this!
