Chronic Pain Due To Hydrocephalus and Need For Vicodin?

by Anne, Nov 12, 1999 12:00AM
Hi Doctor,   I have chronic headaches from hydrocephalus and neck pain from laminectomy.  I use vicodin daily to beable to function.  I am wondering after reading so much on this forum about people like myself being addicted to them is there another less addictive drug that helps with chronic pain that doesn't become addictive?    The  headaches are something I can't live with and tried Motrin and Naprosen which doesn't help me.

Thanks, Sincerely, Anne

Can someone tell me a little about the long term effects of vicodin? Such as withdrawel symptoms, physical effects, mental effects.

Thanks-
KM
