Cocain and Crack

My Step Dad overdosed the other day and was rushed to the er.  After he was stable the doctor told me and my mom that they found cocain in his system.  He has known to smoke crack cocaine, but we have never known him to snort cocaine.  Will Crack and Cocaine show the same in your system on a blood drug screen?

Yes - they are both cocaine. And it is much more likely to Od on smoking as oppossed to snorting.

How is your stepdad now? Absolutely smoking crack is a higher risk for overdose cause it enters the bloodstream so much faster and usually in higher amounts. I hope it was an eye opener for him. I overdosed a few times on this drug, the last time being serious, but cocaine overdoses are not as common.
