Cocaine use( freebase)

My boyfriend was a chronic cocaine user for the past 14 years, we broke up for 14 years and reunited because he confessed he is truly sorry and would like to make our relationship work this time. We have a child together and I never used any drug in my life. I was raised very sheltered and did not ever get tempted to use but one night I was having some stressful issues in my life so I called my boyfriend before we decided to get back together and decided to try cocaine because I was curious to know what it was that he loved about it. What I'm worried about is, we had sex and did not use a condom and he promised that he wouldn't *** inside, to my surprise he did. I'm worried if I get pregnant would this effect the baby? The fact that he was a 14 year chronic cocaine addict and that stupid me did it a few times with him? I feel very weak minded and foolish to be curious to try such a substance that I know ruined his life. If anyone with knowledge regarding this matter can answer my question it would help me a lot! Thank you

Nothing good is going to out of hanging around a 14 year cocaine user that isn't even in treatment. That's a long time which means it will take even longer for him to ever be able to live a clean life, don't let him drag you down.

The baby would be fine as long as you don't use during your pregnancy. Lots of babies are made during drunk or high sex, it doesn't affect their growth as long as the abuse is not continued through pregnancy.

Jerry198 gave you GREAT advice.

You haven't posted again...and I hope you aren't one the people who never come back.     Don't use any more coke, and please, whatever you do, stay away from this guy.

Hugs,

Agreed!

Cocaine/Freebase will not affect a foetus that is yet to be conceived. Also, his 14 years of use will not impact the baby either. The only thing that will is continued use by you in the event of an actual pregnancy.

Nonononononooooooo.
This would not effect a "potential" fetus. People who say it could are insane the egg wouldn't even be fertilized yet and the cocaine would be like out of your system.
The answer is a definite no it would not.
But stress does;) so chill out and don't do anymore cocaine lol

Honey:

If you only did coke once while you had unprotected sex, then the chances of a potential fetus being affected are small, PROVIDED you DON'T do any more drugs!!!!!

Get away from this dude honey.  I could care less about his apologies and "wanting to make the relationship work this time."   He is an addict.  The only way anything will work is if he gets his butt into treatment.

Good luck sweetie...

The short answer to your question is yes it could have effect on the baby. Any time you do drugs whether it be cocaine or alcohol, it could have a effect on a baby.

I would also recommend that you do not do ANY drugs and not stay in the relationship since it seems to be a problem with both of you.
