Cold feet that I thought were from W/D's

I have been here before and got so much help, but I think that I may have had it wrong. I have really cold feet that go cold as soon as I get out of bed in the morning and don't warm until the evening. I thought it was from W/D, but I am thinking it may be something else. It is not as though the rest of my body is cold. I can be sweating and my feet are still like ice. When I used to take the Hydrocone, they would warm up, but I have been off of them for a while and cannot get them warm! I need someone to help me! I don't know what to do!

Without seeing your doctor I don't think it would benefit you to just stop the BP meds, but low blood pressure leads to poor circulation and it's possible that you're right.  If you don't have a cuff go to one of those do it yourself machines and check it out everyday.  If you have a long standing relationship with your doctor you may be able to call him and give him this situation, which he may there in turn give you advice.  Gestational diabetes shouldn't linger, but that big of a weight loss could make your extremities cold too.

Mine is a nerve degenerative condition. I also take lisinopril, with no ill effects. But you need to get yourself checked. None of us are physicians.

That really is something you need to bring up with your doctor you might need a change in meds or dosage . No one here is a doctor so we really would not know anything for sure

Thank you guys for your input. I am going to have to go to the doctor and I know that, I was just trying to avoid the very large bills that I will receive. I will go and that will cost over $100, then diagnostic testing and on top of that, meds!

I did have gestational diabetes when I was pregnant, but I was so overweight. Once I had my daughter, I lost 90 lbs. so I didn't take the chance of getting Type II later on in life. I am 5'7" and 125 lbs. I do take a med for BP though, and sometimes my BP is not high. You think maybe the Lisinopril is dropping it too much? At night especially, I feel very faint. I about passed out last night.

Sounds like a circulation problem I would suggest a doctor to run test. Hope all is okay, Michael

When I take off my shoes to feel my toes, they are so cold, it is like I have stepped on ice rink without skates! It starts at my toes and moves up so it gets the whole foot and then my legs, well the bottom portion.

If your feet actually feel cold to the touch, you've got a circulatory issue. If they are warm to the touch, but you have the sensation of cold, probably some type of nerve damage, as is mine.

Thanks to all of you for the responses. I haven't been to the doctor in a while. I was laid off of my job in March, therefore, I lost all benefits. I have no insurance. I take Adderall, Lisinopril and birth control. I have stopped Hydrocodone and Xanax due to the inability to afford. The others are pretty much a need.

to anjel75,

Please go see your Doctor.  I am not saying that you have a problem, but
it could be your blood circulation.  As posted yes pain meds/hydro does mess with our systems so we must be careeful when detoxing not to over look so health issues.

Your doctor can check your BP/CV status and see if your have any problems.

On all I have read from/on Detox I have not heard that before.  I have heard and have felt the whole body being chilled and not able to get warm.  Never just the feet.

Most likely nothing, but it can't hurt to have it looked at.

I have always had cold feet and hands. Have you had this before? You can ask one of the nurses on here but I have always had low blood pressure and have always been cold even in the summer. Thyroid problems can cause this too I believe.

good luck.

I have a somewhat similar problem. Caused by a widely used herbicide in Viet Nam (it's this whole other country). Gabapentin helps to some degree. If it is not neuropathy, have you been checked for diabetes? The neuropathy may be caused by exposure to several industrial chemicals (benzenes, and such).

I keep warm socks on and shoes at all times. Most of the time I have blankets on them as well. I do elevate them but if it isn't evening time, they will not warm up. Did you have the same problem?
