Cold turkey offf Morphine

Cold turkey offf Morphine

I've tried this before but now I have to do it. I want to do it to get my life back.
Was on 100mg Morphine ER x3 day
10/325 Percocet x4 day
I'm 6 days off morphine and 3 days off percs.
So 2 nights ago my WD was awful and I was desperate.  I had a 8mg suboxone strip.  I cut it to 1/4s.  I took 1 to try to get my RLS to stop.  Didn't work.  Took another 1/4.  Didn't work.  Took another 1/4 and it worked after some time.  What I didn't realize was it takes 30-45 mins to kick in so think I took too much.  Total of 6mg of sub.  It's been 2 days since I did that and feel like it's still working.   My WD is mild and I can function.  Will the WD come back after this amount of time once sub wears off?  Or am I on the back end of this mess?
The good news is I want off.  I have to get off to get my life back.  I'm losing job after job and my wife is sick of it. I can give you reasons why I was in pain meds but it doesn't matter.  I'm committed to getting off.
Thanks for reading.

I am sorry to hear you were struggling still/again.
Happy to hear you have quit again.
Commitment and determination to regain your life essential.
You know that each withdrawal gets rougher.
What are you doing to help yourself through this time besides the suboxone?
Vitamins, walking, hot baths, wrapping your legs, heating pads,? Staying hydrated. Are you eating?
Have you started any meetings, counseling to help prevent relapse?
You are worth it. Your relationship with your wife is worth it.
Keep the faith.

At this point, you just need to go with it.  Lack of sleep will not kill you (though you probably wish it would b/c then at least you'd get some sleep!!!  lol)...You just need to keep pushing yourself forwards, NEVER looking backwards.  Taking sleep aids will not help because your bodies still w/ding.  Trying to take substances to force your body to do something it's not going to do only makes the way you feel worse, and you still won't sleep.  As far as the RLS is concerned, the Epsom Salt bathes did help, for sure, but when I laid down, what helped was tight *** diabetic socks that my husband bought for me.  They were like thigh high and super tight and they did bring me some relief when I was trying to lay down.  Eating healthier helps as well, foods high in potassium and magnesium!
I also want to make sure you realize that to stay clean, for any length of time, will require you to find some type of aftercare.  At 15 days....now's the time to start figuring out what your going to do.

After 12 years of meds I'm 15 days clean!

But my biggest issue is sleep.  I can not sleep at all.  I'm up all night and once the sun comes up I can get an hour or two.  That's not enough after 2 weeks.  How long will this last? If I take sleeping meds I get RLS really bad.
I was on morphine and Percocet for 12 years.
