Coming of suboxone

I was on a 75 mcg patch of Fentanyl.  I went to a rehab to try to get off of it, but because of my pain, they left me on 6 mg of suboxone a day....I have only been on it a week.  I am home and realizing that this is a horrible drug, worse than the fentanyl patch.  They sent me home with 2 mg strips...yesterday I took 4 mg. I am very nauseated today.  If I don't get off this now, is it going to be harder to do?  I have Fentanyl patches left that I could cut.  I don't know what do do.  I cannot get a doctor to prescribe this suboxone.  Will my suffering be less if I try to do this now after being on it only a week?

Hi & Welcome,

I hate to see you go back on the Fentanyl. It is going to be like a roller coaster ride. You made the decision to get off of them so stick to it. In fact, it is dangerous and tempting to have them around.

As far as the suboxone...I too was sick to my stomach on them. they also did not agree with me. 4 mgs is a high dose to come of. If you can get yourself down lower just jump off. Get off them as soon as you can and you will withdrawal from that.

The question is what will you do for your pain in the future? You need to set something up with your doctor before you end up back on pills or patches.
