Control Issues

Is there anyone out there recovering from drug addiction that has noticed that an underlying need to be in control is a driving force in their lives?

I have. I'd love to hear what the newly clean addicts have to say about this topic.

Thanks,

I was deafly afraid of flying until my therapist said "you wouldn't be scared if you were drivin' the dang thing" and it rang true.  I now fly often.  Hmmmm.....he was right, I was afraid for someone else to be in control.

PS. I get more out of your shares when it's in your own words (even though I really like 12-step recovery quotes/text)...Just something to keep in mind when posting. Take Care!
