Restless leg syndrome.. Kicking drugs... what will help are a couple of things.. walking is very beneficial as is Hot baths/showers.. also eating bananas has been known to help.. I added a knock off of a product called Hylands restful leg you can get it at a drug store.. It helped.. also tonic water has been known to help for the quinine it has in it.. I can not say how long it will last as it verys in many but the worst should be over in about 5 to 7 days.. just an estimate.. I'm sure others will be on with more suggestions.. If you are feeling this you have decided to regain your freedom.. for this I congratulate you.. lesa

i had violent leg shaking for a good week.  Legs would KICK about every 30 seconds.  It will pass and i think it must be the drugs working it way out of your body.  Take care and let us know how you are doing eh?

For me, the worst of the leg aches & pains and strange discomfort lasted about a week. For the next couple weeks it was present but bearable, and decreased in fits and spurts: one day OK, the next day more noticeable. As others have reported, hot baths helped me a lot.

I honestly think that it's safe to say that everyone endures a lot of smilar things, but the length of time it takes to feel "better" truly varys for each different person. I hope that makes sense, and once again - CONGRATS on doing this!
