DAY-7 AT WORK WANTED JUST TO POST!!

Hey everyone just wanted to say hi and its now 9:52 PM Central time. Feel so much better each day clean,its amazing how just a little bit of  the old self day by day comes back.Its been a pretty good shift except for the you know who which We arent talking pretty immature on his side.But the people that you think are your friends and fellow users when you get clean and tell them no more I guess they really arent your friends if all they do is try to give you some or stop talking to you so I good give a rats *** if besides work related thats fine by me because the real reason is my so called buddy that gave me these things 3 years ago before my back surgery cant lay them down and thats his buisness but dont try to bring me down,because im getting my life back you hear me and nothing is bringing this boy down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It is real strange when your alone not getting buzzed on the pills anymore and saying to yourself which I have done what Am i going to do now but since Im going to try and make it 2.4 mile swim 112 mile bike 26.2 mile run ill have plenty in my traing to keep me busy for this august ironman kentucky.But you know my head today feels so clear just the 7 days i have been off of these demons.Since I told my family coming clean my mother acutaly told me the other night when me and the wife went out that should could tell a major difference in my demenor.Last time I was foged out on percocet when i seen her and I thought I was fine then ,how dumb was I.That made me feel good.Well I hope and pray for everyone when I hit my rack here at the station tonight.Till tommorrow peace out

tHANKS HONEY YOU KNOW iVE BEEN WORKING HERE AT THIS STATION WITH HIM THE PAST 8 YEARS AND IT MAKES ME SO UNCOFORTABLE right since I have been clean its real weird you know.You would think he would understand and want to support me through this.My wife hates that I have to work here with him you know,cant blame her though.

I think he is more uncomfortable with you than you are with him.  I am sure he is very threatened by you cleaning up as he knows deep down that he should too.  You hold your head high and stay in your recovery.  You dont need friends like that.  I know it is easier said than done but after some time passes you will just look at him and shake your head.  Be proud of what you are accomplishing!!!  As i said before i am so dam proud of you.  One for getting clean and the other being in a profession that i hold very sacred in my heart.  Your the best firefighter~~~~~sara

Its amazing to me that I thought nobody knew. Well alot of people and even my little son who has Down syndrome knew!   congrats on your time. Go ironman!
