Hey friend, just holding out a cyber hand to lend support.  You are almost through this.  Great advice above.  If you can, move, move as much as you can. I find if I just keeping "going", you don't feel the rls as much., that goes for the mental as well, just move move move,.....work it out, work out.

Epsom baths, hydrate, and excersize, watch your thinking, as Gnarly said; this is 1/3 physical and 2/3's mental....he ain't kidding!  This will be your golden ticket right there....if you can just keep your head in "check".

Read, post, stay close.  Sending strength and courage and peace, when they get there....hold right.
Hugs out

You've received great advice.  Just can't empathize enough.  Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.  I liked gatorade.  Drank gallons of it and there's potassium in it which we lose while we're detoxing.

Push through.  You're almost there.

Day 13 here bro. It's hell but sometimes you gotta go through the bad to get to the better. It's better man. Stick it out. Music is a must and it sounds so much better w/out the sluggish wet towel around your brain. I'm no expert obviously but fresh out the opiate hell and I would've liked seeing multiple responses at your stage so here I am. Keep it up buddy.

Hi well your in the grip of acute detox this is a process it will run its course and you will get threw it   this is 1/3 phyical and 2/3 mental so a positive attitude goes a long way for starters try to stay hydrated force a power drink like gator aid if your having trouble holding things down try a shot glass every 10 min you do not want dehydration on top of this as for comfort a hot bath goes a long way in taking care of most of the symptoms time will drag and sleep is all but impossible  rent a few movies to keep you buzzy all night it is not good to do nothing and dwell on how you feel  I say this a lot ''but you just got to be ok without being ok for a wile'' the phyical will let up in a few days it is the mental that is the battle lets get you threw your detox then we can talk about aftercare Prayer works when it 3 am and your up shaking God is all you got keep posting for support let us know what is bothering you a far as symptoms we have a lot of home remides that can help other then that hang on to the fact that in a couple more days the worst will be over good luck and God bless..............................Gnarly

Hi so mad, and welcome to MH. Congratulations on two days clean!! There are things you can do to ease the withdrawals a bit. Immodium tablets will relieve the bathroom issues, one or two, just until it stops. Drink plenty of water to flush out the toxins and stay well hydrated. Ibuprofen will help with the body aches. Bananas, orange juice as tolerated are good potassium sources and will help with the restlessness. It really helps to listen to music. It's going to sound so much better off drugs. For sure you have a few more days of the "flu" ahead, but things will get better if you just hang in there.
What were you taking, how much and how long? This will help us guide you better.

I just got through a bad detox and am on day 16.  day 2 was horrible for me.  do you have anyone who can sit with you?  you are just going to have to go through these first few difficult days.  I know you feel so bad and I am so sorry for what you are going through.  try to keep yourself as comfortable as possible, just watch tv and lie down.  are you taking Immodium for your stomach?  the body pain will go away day by day but its gradual.  there is hope.  this part of the detox will pass.  I was convinced it wouldn't and it did!!!!  just try to be calm and positive and get through this tough time.  you can do this!
