Dalmane

I read a post about dalmane and was alarmed...my mother, sweet soul who has never even drank, went through witdrawals during a hospital stay years ago as they were not prescribed for her during her hospitalization..No one knew what was wrong and then they figured it out...she has a condition caused from a spider bite that screwed up her sleeping patterns...she did not take them for years until recently...She is getting old and has arthritis pretty bad and if she needs that to sleep, i am not going to get on to her...just be careful with dalmane

kinda like valium?.....im asking cause now im really concerned..i have to take valium on occasion (epilepsy from head injury)....i might take 10 a month .10mg......i feel so bad for ur mom.....im here if u need to talk

Thanks...she needs her sleep and it does not cause her a problem in her life...when it does i will step in...it is a great muscle relaxer and she has given them to me for back pain so I could sleep a long time ago....they are a benzo but totally different than taking 10 valium a month...just a different drug....

23 years ago my Dad use to give me Dalmane to help me sleep when I was sick. It's an old drug. I would think her M.D. would try to put her on something newer on the market?
