Darvocet help

I was perscribed darvocet eight months ago,for back pain from a car accident I think darvs are very addicitive and sometimes I would take up to four a day just to get that good feeling back, and I do sometimes notice I get kind of a "pill hangover" I'm really tired and fatigued the next day. I talked to my doctor because I told him that I know my tolerance is becoming high and I don't want it to get anymore out of control then it already is. I asked him if there was a way to lower my tolerance to the darvocets so that it will just take my pain away again and I don't have to take so many. He told me it is possible to lower your tolerance, but to do that you would ween yourself off them slowly. He said it may take about two weeks to do this but  you could get back down to one a day and not have such bad withdrawl (withdrawal) symptoms. . It is a struggle to do this but it can be done! I struggle with this problem and I just don't know what to do and lately I have been having pain on my right side right above my hip and I wasn't sure if this was from the pills or what. I'm twenty two years old and I don't want to have liver damage this young! It is really scary though and I know that I can't completly get off of these pills because tried other medicines and they don't help me the way the darvocets do Can anyone help??

Darvacet is an opiate..extremely weak tho...many describe the pain relief as no more than tylenol...snd it contains alot of tylenol for the small amount of pnarcotic relief it provides....it is strange that it helps tremendously with ur pain but if it does then just be careful as it is an opiate and it is addicting...try motrin or ibuprofen and be sure this pain relief is not maybe psychological ..try heat and ice...stretching, chiropractic..natural pain relief and see how it works

Darvocet worked really well for me, actually better than vicodin.  Its not weak to someone who doesn't know any better, therefore the withdrawal is just as painful as anyone else's.

You are teetering on what could turn into a full-blown nasty addiction.  Get out while you can now.  Mine started that way.  I would take two almost every night, and I did that for about 5 years before it got bad.  just try not to take them every day.

take care,
nauty...........
