Day 1 again

Well here I am. Back to day 1. My knee is so much better. I'm having no pain at all. Please pray I can get through this okay. I know it's going to be rough but I have my Lord on my side. Thank you all. I'm feeling down this morning and could use some support. Thanks.

A vacation will be great for you!!! It's something to look forward to and you need it. We all need something to look forward to in life.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised by how good you will feel! Don't get me wrong it is not all rainbows and sunshine but there will be some good days. And if not….we fake it til we make it:).

I find that I still may not be completely excited to interact with ppl in social settings. .. but once I am there it always goes better than anticipated.

I am proud you flushed the remainder:) That is willpower. I know exactly what you mean about feeling sad about flushing them. Be proud of your strength as we are!!

You guys are so amazing. I'm actually feeling pretty good. I got a 2 hour nap in. I leave for vacation in a month. Do you think I'll be feeling a tiny bi better by then? I'm scared I won't. I have to be an actual person and engage in my vacation. I'm terrified I won't.

I understand what you mean about being back to day one. You mean that physically you're kind of starting over with your detox. I get it. But you know...it's not going to be that rough.

You'll find that if you let your mind think about something else, you won't notice how you're feeling as you are right now.  For many people, it's not that bad. It's just that those people don't tend to post here!

Chin up! Get moving around, take a walk, swim...anything to get some exercise. It helps more than you can imagine so force yourself.  The drop in mood is related to the antidepressant component of Tramadol. That's why it's best to taper off over time. But either way it passes.

I'm happy your knee is better and you will be too!

Hey  well im with pillguy  if your taking it as prescribed it is not abuse  we get both kinds of people here  the addicts like me and those that always take it as prescribed.....the withdrawal is the same it suc ks but there is a big difference with those that are ''dependent'' on it verses the addict who uses it for energy or to get high as always we will support you the real key here is to stick it out it is no fun being chained to a pill bottle addict or not................Gnarly...........................

You all are so kind to me. Thank you so much. I flushed the rest of the pills. I don't feel horrible but a little sad. Not even sure what I'm sad about

I agree with Pillguy you are not on day 1 and remember life happens and we have to deal with what it gives us. We are only human and can only take so much pain before our bodies give out! I know this from experience so remember 1 minute, 1 hour, 1 day at a time! It is what day you want it to be! I always set my tracker back to day 1 but that is me and you do what you feel is right for you! You got this!

You are so NOT back to day 1.  We all sort of accept the mantra of 'never again ever'.  It helps to keep us safe.  You were prescribed this med and you took less than you could have.  I see you solidly on track.  So throw away any left and move on.

I"m conflicted about the 'clean days' count.  I need to be on guard on day one and I need the same vigilance on day ten-thousand.  I get how it provides motivation to put one foot in front of the other to get past the initial barriers.  I've read more than one story of people thinking lots of clean time allowed them to dabble with terrible consequences.  I have genuine respect for those who have years or even decades of clean time.  Not because they reached some artifical goal but because they fought the battle every single day.  Longtimers, please forgive me if I speak from ignorance.

Cheers,

Hopefully with you only taking 3 per day, your wds will be mild. The anxiety will be the toughest, but just fight through it. Keep your mind busy, I listened to a lot of music coming off tramadol, it really helped with the anxiety. Stay strong and keep your focus, your doing great!!

Thank you both. Yes only two days. I only took 3 each day so that's half of what I'm allowed to take, I feel ok. Pretty emotional though.

Now if I remember right you went back on them for 2 days? If this is true and you took only as directed you are still on track! Keep up the good work and remember life happens we have to deal with it and keep moving forward.....
