Day 10!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have hit the double digits for my days of no pills!!! I would've never had made it with out all of your posts and words of encouragement.  I never thought I would make it this far.  Things are getting a little better, I still don't get more than 2 hours sleep a night and have no energy...the good thing is I don't care I would rather be like this than counting my pills making sure I had enough to next refill!!  I think I'm becoming the old me that everyone liked being around, I always thought the pills made me more 'up' and happy and gave me energy.  But after taking so many for so long they made me a miserable person to be around.  Just wanted to post to than you all...I'll keep posting!!!

bettersoon. congrats!!! I am glad to hear your worst is pretty much over. I am on day 23 and know that the journey is long but sooooooooo worth it. I took Tylenol PM which has benadryl and it maid me really groggy after a few days. I have heard this from others on here. I am a little extra depressed today and yesterday so I have to be carefull with what effects me. Sounds like you are on a great natural high from your success and you deserve it. Just wanted to warn u of overdoing the benadryl to sleep. But if you are not groggy and feel great and it helps you sleep I don't think it will do any harm at all and probably stop you from sneezing too!!: )

Keep positive, I have been off of my pills for 23 days now and am sleeping fairly well again. It seams like so long ago that I got off of but yesterday I had the worse cravings since the first week. I even had the dream that I took one. Still nothing could propell me to slip, I want my life back. Right now I am starting to be slightly more depressed, but I know it will pass. Probably because I just got back from a vaction to see my family and I really miss them and home. I have been away for about 6 years on the west coast and I am feeling like I want to move back home now more than ever.

Anyway, congratulations on Day 20

Congrats fellow and future detoxers. I am on day 6 of cold turkey and can say that although I am still extremely tired I know the worst is over. I have been on this forum often and it has truly helped. I have to say that the physical pain (stomach, muscle aches etc...) were not that bad for me. The worst part was the rapid heart beat and anxiety. I was able to get about 5 hours of sleep last night and that really helped me today. I took hot showers and baths and they have been my saving grace. Also, I took benedryl (SP?) at night to help me sleep and imodium from day 3 to day 5. I actually ate dinner last night and enjoyed it. I feel excited about life, even though I know I have a ways to go. I just wanted to say thanks for all the encouragement.
