Day 15 brain fog

Still hanging in there:) I do NOT want to go back to pain pills. Ever. So all the struggles I am going through are better than the best day of the pills. Those pills are slavery!! I am so happy not to be counting pills and worrying constantly that I will run out.
It's been hard at times and tempted to take a pill to "fix" my brain but it's just not worth it. Praying for Gods strength and His victory over this has helped. Today I have brain fog and that part I hate!! I still have some WD symptoms like sleep messed up and twitches and overall lethargy but moving helps a lot. It's all bearable and doable. Uncomfortable?? Yes... But freedom is sweet!!!!! God help us all with this addition.

Praying for you! God is good! But gnarly is right, i had to do my part to stay clean, which meant a twelve step program and constant spiritual support like church. I found celebrate recovery helpful, in addition to NA/AA meetings! Keep at it, so glad you are free today!

There are alot of people on here that talk about celebrate recovery...I've never heard of it, and I can't find it in my area unless I'm searching wrong. What is it? Does it cost money?

Hi...well good to see your holding strong but it takes more then strong will to do this.....aftercare is the next critical step......long after the pills stop your still stuck with the addict living in your head...as always I recamend the N/A progam....the meetings are only a hour long and will give you some place that is safe to share with time and working the steps you will loose the very desire to use....something I always thought was impossible  please dont skip this critical step those that use one form or another of aftercare stay clean

Good for you Pollyanna!!! You sound alot better than last week. Isn't so helpful to be able to come on here and just write it down...even if no one says anything back, it helps me alot to just write how I'm feeling and then look back on my posts from a month ago, and wow...I've come along way, as have you! Even though at times it feels like you haven't, read your first post on here, and that will definitely lift your spirits and give you hope and strength to get through the next week :)
