Day 1recovering from oxy habit

OK, today is day one. I'am recovering from 400mg a day Oxy habit. Thanks, everybody!

Hey man good luck. I have been clean for about 22 days with one relapse off oxy.  I still feel really terrible but I guess its worth it.  The first 6-8 days were unbearable I thought I was going to have a seizure or a mental breakdown. The next 8 days after that were just a slightly bit less intense. Now today I feel like my anxiety is slightly subsiding but I still can't walk around for more then 5 minutes. The chills have gotten a lot better but I still toss and turn and just sleep for an hour here and a hour there.  The worst is I still get that horrible skin feeling where your skin feels just creepy. I guess u get better so slowly that u don't even notice your gettin better. Just remember if u pick up again your just prolonging your wd so anytime u feel like going back just remember that.  I really hope your wd are much shorter then mine. Seriously keep me posted cause I like to know how long it takes for somebody else. I know it sounds wack but give the pain to god don't try to fight it. If that makes any sense. Good luck fam.

Thanks oneway, I was on dave five on Sunday and I relapsed. i have been through this a few time before and I know the hell ahead, today I really dont feel to bad but I do wish I stayed in bed.

Yo you said you been through it before have you ever been through it all the way through and if u have how long did it take until u felt normal again? Because for me it feels like it is taking forever. I went cold turkey off heroin and was feeling a lot better after seven days but the first 3 days were much more painful then the oxys but the oxys last so much longer. Anyways relapsings sucks.

I know that creepy skin feeling felt like every nerve was at the surface and I stayed in bed for wks at least now I will leave the house. Does any one else feel paranoid ?

I feel paranoid all the time. Yo chem how long did it take u until u felt like u could actually could sleep right again or even walk around without shaky legs or a queezy stomach? I know you were on methadone but since I was shootin ocs and was doing so much I think my withdrawal is gonna be close to a methadone withdrawal.

well it took me about 7-8wks and I still get tired easly. sleep ? whats that only sleep about 2-3hrs a nite and that  is w/3tylenol pm and 2-3 xanax Im telling 3mnths and still feel like Iv been raked through the coals!! lol just cant seem to shake the dark mood Iv been in for about 4ays cravings are bad for some reason and when I do sleep I have crazy dreams like doing all kinds of drugs or killing people so that usally wakes me up. I think im being haunted by ghosts of past sins who knows.

The clouds of doom for me...come and go.   Honestly, last week I almost gave in and said.. What the hey....

I had three DAYS IN A ROW... where I felt somewhat human.  Yesterday I felt good.. actually good.  It's almost 30 days for me.   Today, I feel as though I'm back to square one.   Not OXY's Vics... but  I'be been using them for 5 years w/almost no break in time.

Some of what you may be feeling is PAWS... Post Addiction Withdrwal... has a lot of rebound after affects.   Comes way after the physical sypmptoms of actualy withdrawl (withdrawal) go away.  

Honestly it's getting better... the bouts of time without feeling like you are crawling through your skin  do get better and for longer periods of time.   I guess after 5 years of using pills it ain't gonna go away in a week.

Have faith... it's gotta get better

I wonder if the PAWS is an effect of having revolved life around usage me 7yrs between pills and methadone I think I miss the shedule does that make any sense?

I'm just now discovering what it is... I'll need to do more research and question some professionals.

I think 'BASICALLY" In a nutshell means... we've been living in pill mode such a long time... taking us into similar environments w/o drugs gives us different perspectives, could be boredom, anxiousness, restlessnes, what was tolerated before is not so easily tolerated any longer.   We are just ill-at ease
