Day #2, keeping my bf in the dark?

Day #2, keeping my bf in the dark?

Hi all, just a few weeks ago I made it to day #4 c/t, after using upwards of 10 vics 5/500 per day, perks sometimes when I could get my hands on them, sometimes e/r perks too, daily, for over a year. So day #4 I was feeling pretty great, then I ended up in the ER with a kidney stone. I took my meds exactly as directed and now, after the pain was gone, I went c/t again. Today is day #2 and this time wasn't near as bad as the first time, I think taking the meds exactly as prescribed was key. Anyways, here is my question. Since my first attempt at quitting my emotions have been all over the place, just crazy happy one minute to crazy sad the next. I had to tell my bf of four months something or I was gonna lose him just from the craziness. I wanted to get a feel for how he'd take it so I explained that I was taking meds for over a month now (when its really been over a year) and that I felt addicted so I quit, and that my behavior is the fallout. He was very supportive, but said "I'm here to help you. Did you really think I'd be that upset over that? It's not like you've been an addict the whole time I've known you, now that would be a problem." In fact I have been popping pills the entire time I've known him. Does it really matter if he knows the whole truth? I mean if he knows I became addicted and now I'm quitting, isn't that all he needs to know? Just curious on your oppinions. Also, when will my emotions even out?? I appreciate any words you can leave me. Much love, Be strong, Be clean, God bless.

This isnt the time to volunteer too much information. You have been rather honest with your bf and you should be. But dont drag up too much history. Deal with the present right now. My gut instinct is that if he is there for you now, he would have been there all the time.....

You cansay you have the flu through most of the worst withdrawals.  I have a very supportive finacee, but some don't take it as well.  Try this and if it doesnt work then I would come clean with him.  He sounds very supportive.

I had to read and ponder this ,what I would do is keep it as it is,thinking you were using for only the month, why?because of his comment.Right now you just need to get thru the detox and withdrawl (withdrawal) which in thenext few weeks your emotions might be all over the map which is hard enough to deal with.My motto is no stress(huge trigger)when you have a few months under your belt if you choose then you could come cleanI would not but thats me..So keep up the good work ,and stay away from the drama.Just my opinion,I wish you the best .I am day 47 and feeling great ,you will be there soon Good Luck
