Day 2 hydrocodone withdrawal

I made it thru day 1 with no problems during the day some minor symptoms. Day 1 at night was very hard!!! now I am day 2 at night and I have bad uncontrollable body jerks and cant sleep. My stomach is in knots and diarrhea. When will this stop?I was taking 1 and a half hydrocodones (10-325) every 6 hrs. Total 6 pills a day for about 4 months now.My dr. said the best way to stop was tough love and gave me 60 more pills and said thats it figure it out from here.I decided to quit cold turkey that day.How long does this continue? I have no pain and DO NOT want to take a pill and go backwards.

Good to hear that your wife has the pills. If you are truly done have Her toss the pils down the toilet. Our minds can tell us all kinds of crazy things. This is where the cunning, baffling & powerful term comes from. Use your support group and family as your rock not those 60 pills. This may sound harsh but, trust me when I say....been there, done that. Don't make your Wife the gate keeper if you are truly "done". You got this!

Thank you for your comments. My wife has the pills.I have a great support system within my family and friends.I to was on them for pain management.I was in an accident back in November 2012.I am soooo ready to move forward and get past all the meds. This yucky feeling and muscle jerks seem to be the worst of it for me.I just want to get some sleep.I will try what you said.It might be a bit hard do to the fact that I still have a fixator on my leg still from the injury.I seem to be just fine if I get up and move about and stay busy.It is a problem when I want to relax. Thanks again.

I forgot....did you get rid of the pills or tear up the script? You don't want any of the pills or possibility around. Our addict minds will tell us to take just one more. Bye again....

The first few days are tough. Each day you will get stronger. Read all the posts on here and you will make it. Drinks lots of fluids, vitamin water, carnation instant breakfast, bananas etc. take Imodium for the loose bowels. At night take 1000 mg magnesium along with melatonin and sip it down with sleepy time tea. Watch the caffeine intake also. Pick up some Epsom salt and soak in the tub as well. Or steam room if you have access to one. That will release the toxins and help with the muscle discomfort. This is what I was told & have done for the past week. I am on day 7 off of Percs 10/325 for pain management. Post as well and let everyone know how your doing. You may get cold symptoms, runny nose, sneezing etc. good luck!
