Day 20 off Subs

Well I got about 6 hours of sleep again, so maybe the trazadone is helping straighten that out a little. My daughter is pretty sick with a bad sinus infection, and now Ive been running fever and have gunk in my chest, so yay! The hits just keep on coming. Not trying to be negative, I am grateful its almost 3 weeks, Im alive, and I have a good life. I am just tired of getting sick, this is the 2nd time since I jumped off. Good news, my addiction therapy starts tomorrow.I will post about it when I get home. Not too much to say today, Im achy and kind of out of it, Have a great day everyone! Much Love to you all, C.

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement, you are doing great as well and gives me much strength to keep on going seeing how well you've been doing! Glad I'm not alone in this. Sometimes it feels incredibly lonely. The kids have been driving me mad lol but I'm immune to it by now ;) the youngest, my four month old, she's the one who needs my constant care, but it keeps my mind off things luckily. You're right about the colds, etc keeping the mind off of w/d, I'm just not used to being sick.

Thank you for the support, How are you feeling on Day 17? I pray you don't get sick, but the bright side of that is youre more focused on your cold than your sub w/d. That has helped me get out of my head about it a bit. Kudos to you because I have one kid and Im wanting to have a nervous breakdown some days, four kids and I don't know what would happen to me! Youre doing awesome! I would love to hear about your progress, you can message me anytime. XX C.

I never used to get sick when I was on opiates either, viruses and colds would run through this house and I would be immune. I know what youre saying about the sleep meds, I would rather not take anything, I don't even like taking trazadone, and want to discontinue that as soon as possible. Im really on the fence about it.Im grateful for the 6 hours Ive been getting, so I may just keep what Im doing then be off the trazadone in a month, 2 at most.O- and Erin is already feeling better and driving me crazy, she is back to her high maintenance self, I adore her of course but she is really draining at times. Hope you are well, stay warm. XOXO C.

I'm new here and I think it's absolutely wonderful you have been going strong for 20 days. I am now on day 18, so I'm thrilled to see how well you're doing 20 days off. I can totally understand about the colds going around,  I have 4 kids myself(17 year old twins, a 7 year old, and a 4 month old) and each one is sick and when one gets better they catch another cold, it's a vicious cycle. And since being off subs, our immunity is at an all time low, we catch anything that's around. I'm just starting to feel like I'm catching a cold and it's just going to make me more fatigued. Congrats and hope you and your daughter feel much better. Also, congrats on 20 days!!!

Top of the Morning to ye, Carrie Anne & Congrats on Day 20! :)

I'm sorry that you're feeling illy. When it rains it pours, eh?

It's funny but I never used to get sick when I was using. Since I've gotten clean, I seem to get a cold every fall/winter! This year wasn't as bad as last, though.

Great to hear that the Sandman's been calling @ your place the past couple of nights. (Awesome!) I noticed that you mentioned in your other thread that you might seek some sort of non-narcotic sleep med. I don't want to be a downer but please, be verrrry cautious. These other meds can be addictive & mess up your sleep even worse than opiates do. I know that extended sleep loss is crazy-making but it's the only way to heal & I can testify that it won't kill you. ;)

Here's hoping you & Erin feel better soon! It's good to see you & I'll talk to you soon. :)

Thanks Amanda, maybe I should've jumped off suboxone in the summertime, not cold and flu season, lol. Once this crazy TX weather decides what it wants to do I think we will feel a lot better. xo C.

Thank so much for the kind words, I will definitely post about the therapy. Im sure tomorrow is just a getting to know your history appt.I actually take 150 mg of Trazadone,  Istarted on 100mg but my Dr said it was safe to take up to 150 mg, and people on this site have told me that too, So its helping. I hope you are well and hanging in there, this is one of the hardest things Ive had to do, but its so worth it!XOXO C.

I am so glad to hear your still sticking at it wow 3 weeks girl that's awesome !! ,I am sorry to hear that your daughter isn't feeling good and it's getting so cold out I sure hope you don't get sick on top of things. Trazadone helps me sleep but I tell you at first the dr told me to take 1 pill a night they were 50 mgs they were allowing me to fall asleep but not all night I too would wake up and only sleep 4-5 hours I called the dr back and told him and he told me to try to take 2 and see if that worked better and it did so he changed my script to 100 mg a night, I don't know if you have tried taking 2 at night but it does help a lot better when I first took 2 my heart did race a little fast the first few times but it's fine know just wanted to let you know And I am so glad you get to see your therapist !! my appointment isn't until Dec 10th but so any tips on what he or she says I will be all ears haha  thank you for all your love and support girl it's meant the world to me !!! Keep up the great work
