Day 24 off oxys

I haven't made my own post for a few days, been back to work cooking these last few days. I'm starting to get some energy back but sleeps still minimal. For anyone just starting there detox out there, please don't give up. It will get better, you will get through that first awful week. I remember it feeling like it would never end,and checking the clock every 10 seconds. But it will get better, the days will go faster. Hang in there!!

Krissy:  Wow, 24 days already?   You rock!   You got this now....no going back, ever.

FWIW, I'm on day 79 and still missing entire night's of sleep.   Sigh.  Guess I just have to wait it out.

Congrats on your clean time sweetie...

Hugs,

I will say this, I miss the slow time, because with a new sober life, it is very full. Congrats on your progress, I never tire of seeing people free and happy about it. Never stop growing.

Haha yes I'm an dedicated animal planet watcher, it's got me through many sleepless nights. And yes my pain is deff bearable. It always seemed so much more extreme well I was taking the oxies. I have surgery on January 7th so I'm hoping getting through that recovery and healing time will be bearable as well. I also no now from ALOT of google searches and talking to my doc that there are a lot of non addictive pain meds out there. But I've still researched anything my docs suggested so far because a few months back he did give me a sample pack of tramadol and told me they were non-addictive. I hear that's a lie. Or he really just hasn't done his research. I won't make that mistake. Anything going in my body now will be extremely researched. Anyway all I was taking after the detox was extra strength tylenol, but I've quit that due to a bad tummyache. I have some other OTC pain meds like tylenol I've bought but haven't felt the need to take any yet.

Krissy, cool post!! Wow, can't believe it's day 24 already...time goes! I saw on the other post that you're already in less pain than you were on opiates...that's amazing!

It is still very very common to have crappy sleep at this point. Sleep is the very last thing to come back. It comes in increments. It still may not come for some time so keep watching Animal Planet:)

Btw, don't know if you are or not yet but if you are going to meetings you can get your 30 day chip soon!! Just sayin'...:)
