Day 3 opiate free and so sick

Hi
Anyone ever get sick with an upper respitory infection during detox? Curious, I am running a high fever, throat and ears hurt so bad. I can't even talk. I am assuming the immune system is low during detox. Oh well, guess it will take my mind off detox for now. Please share if any of you went thru this. Thank you!

Congrats on day 3, well the bright side is you have an excuse to rest while detoxing. Hang in there.

Hey girl,
Sorry you're so sick. But I agree with IB...You need to go see a doctor. If you have a fever, that means you have an infection, and that means you need antibiotics. Believe me, I know.

So..quick, quick...hurry, hurry to your Dr. and get some penicillin or something. Don't let this go. You could give it to anybody, including your kids. Keep me posted ok?

Love ya lots and feel better soon,
Kat xoxo

I went through the same, I thought it was allergies at first because the nasal area starts to open up. I got on antibiotics and it helped. It ***** because you don't know what's the cold and what are withdrawals, but it obviously gets better quickly.

Morning hun...

Almost every time I detoxed I got a respiratory infection. That being said, I get them every two months or so anyway but it was always worse during detox. I strongly suggest that you get to your doctor and let him/her check you out and prescribe antibiotics if necessary. I say this not just for the physical aspect of this but for the mental. I have seen too many people go through this and I have seen too many relapses as a result..mine included. Take care of yourself and get to feeling better.
