Day 4 off hydrocodone need support

So today is day 4 off hydrocodone 10-325. I have been taking it for almost a year but the last few months i have been increasing my intake from 2/3 a day to 5 a day. However, this last week i took a months worth (60) in a week. Once i ran out i knew i was addicted and couldn't continue this medication. So needless to say i stopped "cold turkey". I have severe cramps in my legs, vomiting, diarrhea,NO SLEEP and my emotions are so out of whack. So because of the high doses toward the end is this going to make it worse? Are there any natural remedies to help me? I am having to continue working and mother of 5 during this time of withdraws.

Thank you everyone for your comments. I went to see my therapist and doctor both today and got a ear full about having done this by myself without being under doctors watch.

thankfully hydrocodone withdrawals are the quickest and easiest.  that is not to say they are not bad, but should be over in 3-5 days.

cal/mag/zinc (3 in 1)
bananas
pickle juice
tonic water with quinine
epsom salt
icy hot or ben gay (rub down your legs after a soak in hot epsom salt bath)
i use ace bandages or compression stockings (in pharmacy) after bath, after rubbing down legs
heating pads

b12 sublingual vitamins ($4 walmart)
super b complex
multi vitamin

nyquil or zzzquil
sleep aid or benedryl
sleepy time tea
valerian root  (nature's valium)
immodium (brand name works best)

this should help a lot

Hi there

These are the items that I used (at least the ones I remember lol):

Hyland's Restless Leg tablets
Immodium (an absolute must)
Lots and Lots of Water, Gatorade (dehydration will make symptoms worse)
Chocolate (to appease the pleasure center of the brain)
Epsom Salt for a really hot bath...as many as you can tolerate to help get rid of toxins
Parafon Forte (a muscle relaxer) but that was prescribed to me
Ativan for anxiety (also prescribed) but I took as little as possible
Sundown Super Snooze Melatonin (also has passion flower, valerian and a few other natural herbs that help with anxiety and insomnia)
Cal-Mag-Zinc 3 in one vitamin
A good multi vitamin
Super B Complex Vitamin
B-12 sublingual, injection or tablets (for after detox...for energy...you don't want it during detox since sleeping is already a problem)
Zantac or something to settle the tummy...you need to try to eat...protein shakes, bananas...something like that

If you have a regular doctor and he will prescribe for you ask for Clonidine which helps with the symptoms quite a bit.

Keep busy...even though you feel miserable....get outside, take a little walk...just do something!

Try to keep your mind busy...I read and watched comedians that I knew could make it laugh

Hope some of this helps!
