On day 5 clean from opiates (norco) and I do feel like each day is a stronger reason to never look back. Day 1 felt like "if I relapse it's not like I really let myself down" but day 5 is more like "I've made it thought 5 days of detoxing, I'm in less pain, getting my energy back, and it would be hell on my self worth to go back". Although I still think about them constantly since they will always be around in my house. I need someone to help explain the difference options avaible out there for support system. I know about NA meetings and have looked up a couple times and places. A lot of people on here mention addiction councillor and group therapy. Do you need insurances for these? How would I go about searching for the right one for me ?
Im in Los Angeles....just north of you. You are fortunate to be in a State where there are tons of recovery based programs. Ive posted some links for San Diego...Im aware San Diego is very big so many of these may not be helpful. Two links I recommend you check out are the BHS and Celebrate Recovery programs. BHS over here will do a sliding scale in payment meaning...if you have no money and can prove it...they will treat you free of charge. Celebrate Recovery is free all the way...you just have to show up. Congrats on the 5 days!
