Day 5! I cant believe I made it here!

So I dont really have a question, just wanted to vent a little. Today I am going into my 5th sober day! I still feel kinda shaky but other than that I am OK. Today is the first day I am watching my 2 and 3 year old by myself sober in a long time. My husband has been here all week with me to support me and take care of our children. But today is a huge car show that he and his best friend go to every year and I couldnt ask him not to go. He has helped me sooo much, he deserves a break. And it is probably good for me to have to get up off the couch and make lunches and change diapers and play with the kids. I just feel very weak. But OMG do my kids make me smile! I am going to try to put them in the stroller today and go for a walk. I hope I have the energy. Does anyone know any OTC things I can try to help bring up my energy level? I dont want to drink any coffee since I am already so shaky. Sorry this is so long but just needed to vent a little and keep my mind busy.

Thankyou to everyone here for the support!

You can order vitamins online from GNC so you don't have to go anywhere...of course tht does mean you have to wait from them to arrive.  I think the vitmains realy help wih energy as does getting some fresh air and exercise so taking a walk with the kids would be great for you.  If you get too tired you just go back home.  Good Job!

I am taking Valerian Root and Melatonin also. I still havent been able to sleep the whole night through. I have a ton of anxiety and I dont feel ok to drive to go get any vitamins because I am sooo shaky and I would have to drive my two children as well. I found some of my husbands centrum multi vitamins for men. I took one of those, hopefully thats ok being that I am not a man LOL. I really just want to feel ok again. I am going to send my husband out for some vitamins when he gets home from the car show. Hopefully these shake will start to calm down soon because I cant just sit on the couch all day. Plus my mother in law is stopping by and I have to be able to act normal around her because she has no idea about my addiction. Thankyou all for your suggestions!

Hi,
I am just on day 9 so I can definitely relate.  I went back to work on days 7 and 8 and when I had something to do , I felt great.  Now it's saturday and I have no energy either.  I have been living on gatorade.  Have you been able to eat?  I can't eat too much yet.  I've lost 10 pounds and I am thrilled about that! But, I think if I ate, I would have more energy.  My son is at his dad's for the weekend and I feel really alone.  You are so lucky to have such a supportive husband.  That's was the hardest part for me, last weekend and the first few days I felt really alone.
I have been taking Melatonin and Valerian root to sleep.  It has really helped.  You are right about the coffee....but I have been drinking it and it almost makes me wired, but the energy doesn't last.
I felt great on day 5.....you made it!!!  It's an awesome feeling isn't it?  I couldn't even remember what it was like to be clean.  I am really proud of you!!!!
Keep it up!
