Day 5 alone with kids

Okay, some of you know it's day 5 and it's been rough.  my hubby is in Iraq and my family does not know.  The worst part has been the depression and the constant outbursts of cryung.  The only person that does know is my husband 7k miles away.  I have klonopin but I am already so drowsy that I can't take it until my kids are asleep.  I bought vit. B at GNC and a Detox kit....waste of money on the kit it was 40 bucks, don't do it.  It hasn't helped at all.  Any suggestions for a mood boost?  Hitting day 6 and I am so proud, don't even want those devil pills!

You looked them up and said it's not OK with triclyclics or MAO's.  She NOT on one of those types.

no ltyro and hpt 5 work VERY well for me . within to weeks is was feeling about 95% better ........ with exercise too !!!

She's not on an MAO or a tricylic.

She's on an SSRI and an NSRI.  They are not ok with 5-http or Sam-e but ok with L-tyro

When you start to cry imagine where you will be in three weeks and how great you will feel and how proud of yourself you will be.  Plan a special reward for yourself, like a spa day or trip to the mall. That's what I do and I tell myself, you did this to yourself, now you're going to fix it!

I would just keep a slow taper, that way the prosac in  your system while the wellburtrin is starting to build up ......

What about L-tyro and 5-htp is that bad?

Ok, I was on 80mg of Prozac..yes 80 I am crazy. Now i am down to 40 tomorrow and up to 300 on the well butrin, do you think I should speed up the tapering of the prozac a little?  I don't take much klonopin, usually just at night around 7 to help me sleep.  I have been VERY lucky with w/d's just emotional nothing really physical

I think L-tyro is OK with antidepressents.

no Ltyro is not a good idea if you are on prozac

I am not sure on the prozac/welbutrin. The dizzy light headedness is tough. The w/ds aren't helping that either. You need to be careful with L-Tyrosine on anti-depressants. I still am able to take 500mgs but I don't take more than that. As far as w/ds go, you are almost thru the worst part.

Is the same advice true for L-Tyrosine? I am on Prozac as well and am wondering if L-Tyro should not be taken on prozac.  Thanks :-)

Mom--I too am on day 5 and I feel exactly the way you do.  I was in the tub bawling for no reason about an hour ago.  I am praying for us both and proud of us too!

You can actually take Prozac and wellbutrin together. When your body gets used to the 300 mg it should REALLY start to help. The lightheadedness is most likely a side effect of the wellbu.I have a feeling before you know it you will start feeling much better.

Hun, with all that you are taking...you should honestly tell someone who can be around just in case..you never know.

Don't use 5http or sam-e with your antidepressents.  You don't want seratonin syndrome.
Have you been taking the Klono?  It lasts a really long time - sometimes 24 hours.  Unless you really need, I would give it up.

here's the kicker...I did not tell my Pdoc about the vicodin  and we started to taper from prozac to wellbutrin on Jan 2 my first day w/o vic was 1/1.  SO I am feeling light headed and dizzy from cutting down on the prozac.  I go up to 300mg of wellbu. tomorrow..is that a lot...I will still be tapering on the prozac as well, I;m afraid my body will just go crazy!

If your not on an antidepressant then some l'tyrosine and either 5hpt or SAM E can really help with depression and energy

Honey, be proud of yourself. It is almost over. I don't know what could help you at this point, so hang in there until someone else come in.
