Day 5

Good morning everyone!!! Today is day 5 for me and I feel really good this morning. Still a little sluggish sometimes and I can't keep my eyes open past 8:00pm but that could just be the pregnancy. I seem to be waking up at 3:00am though which sucks cause I know I need more sleep than that especially the next few weeks. Still don't have the energy to do the daily chores and I am so afraid to even try to balance our checkbook since I haven't done that in almost a year!!! Luckily automatic payments are an option for everything or I would be in big trouble by now!! Other than that I have still be able to come to work every day this week and work our mandatory 10 hour days, that is where the getting up at 3:00am comes in handy :) I read a couple of posts where all of a sudden on day 7 or 8 their minds and bodies returned from the addiction fog, I am really looking forward to that!!! Thanks for continuing to give me hope! Take care.

Well your nearly over the hardest of the w/d hump.  Great job!

Now comes the harder part...not using "just one more time".

I highly recommend a meeting.  Most people don't realize, the drug isn't my problem, its me! The drugs only mask the problems.

Follow up and start the real recovery experience, its great!

I tend to agree that you're probably over the worst - hold strong Sister.
You really do amaze me with your strength.

On a related note - I've been talking with Tink and a couple others about possibly organizing an online meeting (chat room if you will).  Our goal is the same as the NA folks - to HELP PEOPLE THROUGH THIS.  But our philosophies differ, and I've been thinking perhaps meetings for those who don't share the NA philosophy might be helpful.  If you're interested, contact me via IM, it's the same screen name as here.
