Day 6 No Oxys A Successful Day

Day 6 No Oxys A Successful Day

But it wasn’t easy. I had to go back to work today, and immediately upon arriving at work the cravings started.
I sit at a computer and that is where my neck and shoulder pain began, 3 years ago when I got the MRI and got the pain meds.

So, anyway, I made it thru the day but not without about 6 times where I BIG TIME cravings.
Happy Ending --- I didn’t do any.

I thought Days 1- 4 were supposed to be the worst and Day 5 was suppose to be home free.
What happened today on Day 6 that sucked so badly?
I sure hope tomorrow gets better.
Thanks for all your support

Not sure what the difference between oxycontin and percocet is, but tomorrow will be day two [and a half] for me. Today honestly was not that bad, other than this morning. Keep up the good work and keep posting!

Good for u!   work can be a big trigger when u go back after detox..i would do the sweat thing at work for a bit and no where else...stress perhaps???dunno..but u made it...if u remember that the typical craving lasts 15 minutes or less, and that if u wait it out it will pass/just like u did today...get busy when u crave..there is a great article in the health pages bout intervening on cravings..be safe and keep moving forward

Good for you on day 6, congratulations. Seems that lots of people say the physical stuff is  all behind you after 5 days. To this I say, again, bull. For me, and I know for others that I've followed on this board, that's just pure fantasy. But do not get discouraged. For the lucky ones who are done with physical withdrawal symptoms after 5 days, great for them, it's a blessing. I wish I'd been one of them.  Everybody has different physical recovery times.  While the worst of the physical symptoms were over for me after 7 days, I had significant weakness and lethargy for another two weeks.  Hearing from other people that this was not abnormal really helped me tough it out.  But the physical symptoms did end and I got my strength back.

Keep going, we're with you!

eggs act ley!!!  I agree w/you. Today was day 7 and I felt much better, most of the day, but I had about 2 miserable hours of shaky skin crawly cravings, but made it thru another day. Thanks for your input there, I feel as though I will be in the same boat for another couple weeks, probably fatigue, etc. but maybe the worst of the physical w/ds might be gone.  I wonder if has to do w/how long you were on them. I was daily for nearly 3 years. How about you?

most do say physical part ends in less than a week..defintions can be different tho...for me physical meant..runs, headache, mild nausea...mild anxiety....but by day 5 my runs had decreased to 1 imodium (immodium) a day..persisted for another week or so if i forgot my imodium (immodium)..went to work but for a few months would have clammy episodes here and there when i was stressed at work...seemed like physical symptoms like sweating etc occurred only when i was stressed.....i consider lethargy, depression etc as mental..the mental aspect of wd..but physical and mental are very intertwined so hard to differentiate///either way..it all passes..time heals all
