Day 7 off of oxy

well today marks day 7 of being off of oxy, and day 3 being off of loritab.
I actually got some sleep last night, i woke up kind of early, but I felt great and had a little more energy than normal.
Still have some runs, immodium is helping there. Legs are not quite as restless. "butterflies" in stomach are still there but not as bad.

Question. When do you think my 'cravings' will be completely gone? My normal dosage was a half of a 40mg oxy a day, and 2-5 10mg loritabs a day. Not that much i now, but i was doing that for 2 years. I stopped c/t and didnt wean myself, but i'm doing ok.

thanks, this group has helped me get through this much easier than trying to do it on my own. I cant tell you how good it is to not have to depend on the drugs now to 'feel normal' or have a good time with friends. I couldnt even do normal stuff such as goto lunch with my coworkers without having to pop a pill to enjoy myself.
I used to watch TV and wonder how all of these damn people on there can be in such good moods without having to take anything. The freedom is great now, thanks again.

Another one of you have taken the perfect words right out of my mouth...err, fingers...and I could do hug you right now. The having lunch with co-workers hits home so strongly I can't tell you what relief you have given me, truly. I wanna be where you are! Day 3 norco 10 free, 2.5 days off of tramadol but I do have a bottle of tramadol coming. I stopped all my automatic orders early last week but one slipped through. Haven't taken any.And. I want to die just a little.

i hate thst word   "TRAMADOL" the damn stuff bout got the  best of me.. 20 pills a day for 2 years and it damn near killed me getting off it "but i did it"  .  it was hell the first week but i did it. i dont even crave it anymore.

Hey...great job!  You are definately moving in the right direction.  I would like to say the cravings go away...Dutchess and CATUF post about PAWS (Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome). You can google it and get good info.  Staying clean is the next battle we face.  Do you have a plan?  I am 3 1/2 mos c/t from 10-15 10mg Norco daily X 2 1/2 yrs. I am doing well but read a lot about addiction, post here still (came here in February) and pray a lot!  I still do get cravings but I fight them with all that I have! You can do this....it gets a lot better!

thank you Marce4. I just read up on PAWS, and it says it can last from 6mos to a year? geez I wonder if those numbers vary depending on how long and how much meds you were taking...

I can totally relate. I am an oxy addict too. I get 180 20mg's, 120 5mg oxy IR's and Soma, and I wonder how can anyone be so happy on TV or walking down the street without being totally popped on pills. It's weird. I guess I can hope for the best. I need strength to get through this. Haven't begun detoxing yet, not sure if I will...I want to, just not sure I can do it yet...any advice? Seems like I am crazy
