Day 8 doing great!

Today is day 8 and I'm doing great. The boredom is what gets me thinking of the pills but I'm keeping busy and know it will pass. All contacts are blocked. Had an opportunity to get norcos yesterday and I declined the offer. I went home and baked cake pops to keep busy. And I turn my cash over to my husband so that having money doesn't tempt me either. Checked out meetings and feel really good about things!  Just wanted to say hi and check in with everyone!

Hi! Hey send me a private message and I'd be happy to tell you what I use to make the cake pops! It's really a time consuming process and keeps your mind busy! Would love to share it with you!

Congrats on day 8!!! By now it is probably day 9. Time flies when you are detoxing right?:) ha, ha.

You sound very positive. You mentioned meetings which is a great idea. There is something really cool about being around recovering addicts who won't judge you and who are there to help you any way they can.

Awesome job Candygirl.

Hi there, and congrats on 8 days. That, is a great start. Blocking your sources, and turning over your cash is good. Try to get rid of all temptation as best you can. You said you has checked out meetings. When will you be going to one? This will really help you stay on the right track. You will get face to face support from others who have been or are in your similar situation.

Take care, and keep moving forward. You can do this! Keep posting for support.

Very, Very Wonderful News!!
Sounds like you have a plan and you are sticking to it. lmao "Sticking" to it..Make sure you slightly greasing the pan.
Anyway, The No-interest or Low motivation was a very hard one for me and it did go on for a Very Long time..Soon you will be doing new things and you did not even have to think about it..that is what is the nicest thing about it all.  It takes a min or two to think of something and a min or two to re-direct your self. Lots of Changes and Behaviors changes are going to be made for the best.
I am days away from 2 years from a life time of using and now I just quit the Ciggs on the 11th..It is just so amazing how we can learn so much about this disease, and how to break these bad behaviors by staying away from any triggers too. Mostly Life Style Changes is what happens and at my Age it was a bit tough..hahaha. All of this will be laid out right in front of you as time goes by. The detox is done, over and gone in no time, it is the Mental part that has to have a brand new Tune-Up for Life or a Brand New Tape to Play. Be Safe & I am so happy for you..It took me way over a Year Mentally to feel OK. It takes the Brain Chems and so on to balance back after we remove any mind-altering substance. I am Cheering for YOU..Yahoooooooo!!!!!
Bless
