Day 9 But "They" are calling

9 days Free of Oxy's  W/D have pretty much gone away...I am so Hungrey  ALL The TIME..  But I am hearing those voices telling me..Hey it wasn't that bad on detox..Maybe just a few on speical occasions?  You can handle it..How do I stop those voices?

When your neighbors dog weeeees on your Azelia Bush and you think " I'd like to kill that Cockerdoodle" You don't march in the house and get your gun. You probably Yell at it. Try doing the same. Yell right back that you have more life to live and you refuse to be under the control of something that has every intent to destroy you. Then listen for the approving voice of God.

when I had the little angel devil thing going on I would scold the devil side and tell it that it would NEVER do that to me again keep looking ahead make small goals for yourself everyday like exercising, I started out walking on the treadmill about 2 minutes a day and worked my way up to running...just keep moving forward and don't look back...

When did they write on a prescription to take only on special occassions?  Using is not an option but working your recovery is.  You are in control of you now, not your addiction.  What are you doing for aftercare?  Get yourself busy, look around at all the things you have to be grateful for.  Didnt you have a refill that you were waiting for at one time?

You see I am different from all you nice folks..I never had a Doc write me scripts.  I bought from a guy who got tons of meds every 21 days from his Doc.  I had no pain, I guess just depresssion and the oxy's made me feel like  I could do anything!

Pills give us a false sense of security and we all felt that we could conquer the world on them.  You are no different than the rest of us.  I would beg borrow and steal to feed my addiction.  You got 9 days behind you and you are doing really good.  Just keep talking to us.  We know what you are feeling here.......sara

Congrats on those 9 days clean. I have heard those voices many times, the voice of our addiction calling out saying just one more time is ok and justifying any way to use. That is why it is so important to keep our guard up and get all the support we can. Try to get busy and change those thoughts so those cravings don't continue to grow. You did good by posting so stay strong and tomorrow will be double digits, yaaaaa. Your still early off them and things do get easier. Stay strong!

Hey G,

No different form me man. We both put our shoes on the same way and my connection was my doc and some guy who got stuff every week. It gets better. i promise you that. Just today, take the advise of these people here and do whatever you have to do not to use. Even if it's just for the next hour. the 9-10 days mark is so hard cause we start to forget how gut wrenching the w/d was...hang in there and remember that we can do so much more clean.

Nine days is awesome!  Think about days 3-5 and how bad it sucked!   Now you don't want to use do you?  I thought so!  I'm almost through day 6 and feel great today but day 4 Was almost the end of clean for me!  Yesterday was better and today is joyful!!!!  Hang in there and fight the demon he will leave!

One more thing.   There is no such thing as a special occasion to restart an addiction!  The only special occasion is quitting!!!

If your addiction tells you it wasn't so bad, I have an email from you from the middle of the night that I can forward over to you, or post right here, where you are incredibly uncomfortable. It was UNBEARABLE - your words!!!!!!  

I am on day 13 and can tell you I truly feel incredible!!!! Tell the voice to F*ck Off. It's what I do, and it works.
