I had it pretty easy 2 times (thank god). I think that mine was easier because weather I needed it or not I took Tylenol and ibuprofen every 2 hours rotating them. I also took more Imodium then the box said to. I read on a forum where people WANT to get high and go through wd all the time and used their advise. They took at least 4 Imodium a day (some even took up to 10, omg) because even though you don't feel the opioids in the Imodium, its a different type that doesn't go to our brain but rather to our gut it helped tremendously. I hate being constipated it is painful so I also took ducalax which is very mild and just makes it so you can go. The last thing I did was Nyquil at night with melatonin. I slept 10 hours the first night, 8 the next and continue to do so. I know we are all different but this helped me tremendously both times. The one time I was out of meds and didn't want to be off of them, I did nothing and experienced terrible wd until I got my next dose of meds. I hope this helps. Don't under estimate the over the counter pain relievers! Good luck, hang in there, good luck. Keep coming back even if its just to read.

Well, you know that you are almost over the worst physical part, right?  You've done this before.  In my opinion, you would benefit most right now by drinking LOTS of fluids like gatorade and juice, taking vitamins and going for a short walk starting tomorrow.  Looks like you saw first hand what drinking will do when you are in WDs!  I hope lots of people see this!  It only makes it worse in my experience.  So.....you'll know not to do that again, I guess?!!!!!

For sleep just be super careful what you take.  Valerian or melatonin will be good to try.  If your legs are all over the place then get some Hylands Restful Legs and Leg Cramps with quinine.  That is the ONLY thing that helped mine.  I also took a dose of Nyquil for a few nights, starting about my 3rd or 4th night I think.  That helps sleep and RLS somewhat.  It's definitely worth a try!

You're doing great!  Just do yourself a favor and make this the last time!  It will only get harder each time, as you see!!!

HUGS.......

You are doing great so far - day 4 tomorrow!  Don't beat yourself up over the drinks, but nah, alcohol doesn't help at all.  You are very lucky to have your husband supporting you!  Hope you get some sleep with the Melatonin and tomorrow hopefully you will be on the upswing.  Post and let us know how it's going!

My 2nd and 3rd (current) attempts were much easier than the first.  I found that by getting up, even if it's just walking around the house, helps.  Also, eat! and drink!  Lots and lots of water. I would set a big glass out and tell myself that i had to finish that glass within  the hour, and do that every other hour.  Even if you arent hungry make food you can swallow - yogurt, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, and down it.  You need nutrition.  And vitamins, asprin, motrin, for me i took flu medicine.
As for night time, I have the hylands leg cramps pm and it didnt work (probably not the right stuff bc it doesnt say "Restful legs" either.  Do you have any xanex, klonapin, ativan, etc that you could use for sleep for a few days?  Last night i took 5 melatonin and managed to get 6 hours of broken sleep.  The celestial seasonings "sleepytime extra" or the yogi night time tea should knock you out for a few hours.
Thinking and praying for you, for all of us, to beat this demon and get our lives back.  good luck.
