I commented on the other thread but now that I have read this one I am so glad you got the job.
Think of this as an opportunity for a new start and you can do it.You treat this addiction like an enemy that you can and will defeat because you can do anything you set your mind to do.
You will probably have about a week of acute detox and then you will feel better and better each day.
I suggest the Nyquil without the decongestant to help sleep.
Aftercare is imperative or at least a complete change of lifestyle.
When you heal from this then perhaps we can tackle the cigarettes.(smile)
Congrats on day 3 and the new job! Yep, you got this!!
I hear you, and thanks....but this is the only chance I have, and so I have to make sure I make the most of it. And you are right, it can seem too easy, but I'll be alright. I don't want to go through this again though....that's for sure. I don't have a prescription or anything so that will help, and the calls have already quit coming in, so I really do feel like I can do this....for good. I'll keep my guard up for sure though.
Hey man, i read your posts out there and really empathize with you...you sound very much like me in many ways. all i can tell you is don't get too cocky with this as an easy WD can trick you later...keep your guard up, man....and fight the good fight.
Day Three, and feeling great.....plus, I think I found me a job that is just as good as the one I screwed up. Things are working out fine. Thanks for being there for me. Luckily, with preparation, these withdrawals were very minor compared to previous tries. I got this.
Time will be your friend now. Your energy will come back and it will be alot better. The pills just gave you a false sense of security.
Do you have any advice for an all natural way to give me the same energy as I had on Hydrocodone? That's what I'm going to miss, rather than the high.
I get rls when I take other meds to help with wd.
Congrats on 2 days!!! Happy for you that you dont have any RLS!! Make sure to keep drinking fluids and moving around! sara
Congrats on your 48 hours!
One day at a time, Brother... one day at a time.
LMNO
Sounds like you are doing well. Hang in there and keep up the good work. Two days will turn to 3 and before you know it the worst will be over. Good luck.
