Day two off oxycodone

To start off, yesterday was pure hell and today felt like the absolute pit of hell.  Sweats n chills all night, restlessness, nausea, diarrhea .... You catch my drift.  I woke up this morning with very flu like symptoms, sore throat and all.  Thing is, my daughter has strep throat so I went and got checked by the doc to see if I have it too. Turns out, I don't have strep but I do have this new virus that's going around.  Dear God, could this get any worse?  I'm sure it could but its just an awful awful feeling of trying to detox cold turkey and being sick at the same time!!  Having said this, I caved a little and asked for Tylenol 3 in which the doc didn't have a problem prescribing.  This will help with the aches n pains from the virus and the w/d's. I have promised myself that I'm only going to take as needed.  If/ when I get the urge to do more I'm going to come here and ask for support and help!

Hi  well  I just got done reading your post and congrats on making it this far right now your in the ''acute withdrawal'' and the pit of hell is a good way to describe it... I always try to give people some hope that this will go away in a few days right no epsom salt baths well help the restless legs and force magnesium into your system it also helps with the anxiety keep pushing the liquids  gatoraid is a good choice it has electolights in it keep in mind this is 1/3 phyical and 2/3 mental so be ready for both if you can pick up a few funny moves so you will have something to do wile your up all night just remember this is a daily program and you do it just for today keep posting for support we all want to see you get clean

the 2 do not contain the same ingredients so it should be safe.  if you really want to make sure, there is a website to check for drug interactions.  you just enter the 2 meds you wish to take and it will tell you if there is a problem

Thanks for the tips, I really appreciate them:). I've done well today, I've taken two of the Tylenol 3s ( dosage was one pill every six hours). In going to take some Tylenol cold and flu at bedtime to help me rest.  The doc did prescribe some fenigren today for my nausea from the virus.  I haven't taken any of it yet, it's kinda hard to take something that'll knock out a horse while I'm having to take care of my sick daughter and myself. Maybe I should just take the fenigren instead to help me sleep well tonight???  Instead of the Tylenol cold n flu. All I know is last night I took some around 10pm,went to bed, then woke up again at 2:30 took some more, then woke up again around 6:30 took more. I mean really?  I might as well down the whole bottle!  Anyways, if anyone has experience with the fenigren and how well it'll allow one to sleep at night during the restlessness, etc please I need your advice:). Thanks again

i think my pneumonia started out with that new virus as well.

to be honest it lessened the effects of the withdrawals because i was actually sick.  knowing there is not much i can do about it gave me permission to take it easy an sleep as much as possible.

hope you feel better soon

Hello again. What Gnarly on here says comes to mind, "You have to be ok with not being ok for awhile." I used my sick and detoxing time to remind myself over and over what had caused me to get that sick in the first place, and how good I was I was going to feel in a few days.
I read books, watched TV, read alot of this Forum and posted my daily progress. I still come here alot.
I want to stack the odds of success in my favor, and there are some really savvy folks here.
Hang on and keep your eyes on the prize!

I'm sorry you are going through all of this.Being sick and detoxing is terrible. Do you have anyone who could hold your pills and doe them to you as prescribed? You got this far I would hate to see you relapse over this.
