Depressed w/d

Depressed w/d

Hello everyone. I have been clean for 16 days from norcos.. 30 months from Methamphetamines. I recently (2 weeks ago) started taking zoloft for anxiety from the w/d's. In the beginning I felt so great.. but now.. not so much. I feel so depressed.. quick to anger just like I was before I started taking zoloft. Do you think that the w/d's are just getting the best of me and I need to up my doseage of zoloft? Or am I just getting used to it? ]= I feel like a mess!

Thank you.

Talk with your Dr and about your norco use and the depression. You may need to increase or switch your anti-depressant.

Hey you ! NOOOO stay on the dose and ride it out . Give it time to kick in . It can take a few weeks to be 100% active . Do you have any Klonipin (klonopin) ? Try and do something you like . Maybe a movie or bad food . Something fun . If your to tired and drained just remember it will get better and we are all here for you ...Jim

goingtomakeit is right..talking to ur doctor is part of the plan....i would doubt it was the zoloft that made u feel better as it takes 2 weeks and usually a month to get going in ur body...give it a chance....sometimes AD that focus on dopamine can be good for addicts but everyone is different...it is too soon to tell if it is working or not..it is normal to go thru a "feel good" phase right after detox and then slide into doomers for a while...the anti-depressents are great for some but they can not totally combat this phenomena after detox called depression...ur receptors have to heal..u have to give it time...exercise will release those hendorphins for u until u can do sufficiently on ur own..hang on...this doesnt happen overnight even with an AD
