Detox

I have been on percocet and soma for two years I have alot of nuero problems but I can't stand taking them any more. I started tapering a few days ago and then went cold turkey yesterday. I feel real bad my  body hurts I feel sick to my stomach I have the shacks. Does anyone know how long this will take, I have to get off this stuff.

Hi Chrissy,

The problem is not detoxification but that of changing out brain's physiologies.  We have created more brain receptors for catching the opiates.  I know you have to get off this stuff.  I'll just have to tell you a little about me.  I had to go the buprenorphine way, (suboxone/subutex).  Am I healed,,,, no but my life is much much better now.  It is a serious drug and only as a last resort....(if you can't kick).

New to this detoxing thing myself, but I feel like every hour is a struggle, but it gets better by the minute, be patient and stick with it!
