Deviated Septum from Cocaine?

Deviated Septum from Cocaine?

I was an occasional cocaine user for about a year, then did it maybe once or twice over the next year but recently took a weekend to enjoy it again and have noticed some serious changes in my nose. I'm wondering if I should go to a doctor, or if I'm just looking too much into it. Between my boyfriend and I we did 8 grams in 24 hours and both had bloody noses for the last 10 or so hours. My concern is that we'd been blowing our noses all day the following day and amongst the blood was harder almost chunks of skin or something. I thought maybe it was cartelidge, which would explain why our septums are so sensitive. Also, the tip of our noses have darker lines right down the middle, like little indents and our nostrils are very uneven, and when I touch the tips of our noses it doesn't feel like it's connected to the bridge, they just wiggle around. I'd noticed changes in my nose before when I used, but seeing how much ours both have changed since made me wonder if it had something to do with the cut that was used. The first ball we got didn't bother us at all, but the second one burned almost every line we did and the drips into the backs of our throats were like acid and both of us have sore throats and tonsils, and the tops of our mouths are incredibly sensitive. I haven't been able to breath comfortably out of my left nostril since and it's almost always running, thin watery snot that i can't even sniff back. Also we've had terrible sinus headaches since, and my boyfriend is waking up in the night because he feels like he can't breath.
I'm glad I found this website, I wanted to gain some perspective from people who might know from experience or just have the knowledge that I'm obviously lacking.

We're definately done with it now, we just pushed ourselves a little and thought it wouldn't do any harm. I've talked to him about us getting help, but I think having each other is enough support. I appreciate the concern, but should I be looking into the problems with our noses? If we can't breathe right out of one nostril and our noses and crooked, does that suggest we may have deviated septums?

Ask for someone whose d/o/c/ was Coke   I am sure someone will help you.Their  is a reformed coke addict on here. Don 't do anymore coke. Is that what u wanted 2 hear? Well you heard it from me. If you keep this up.... what will come of u next??? Perhaps a visit to an ear, nose and throat specialist is in order to make sure you do not have permanent damage. Prayers 2 both of you.

I'm probably late in the game on responding to this, but I just came across your posting and want to give you some insight regarding the damage cocaine does to your nose.  My d/o/c was cocaine for about 1 year straight.  Keep in mind, I never did drugs for 30 years..and only went nuts for 1 year.  My septum has so much damage that I can't breath normally and my ent confirmed that my septum is so eroded that if I didn't stop immediately, I'm lucky it didn't burn away to nothing.  I became a sufferer of chronic-rhinitis, and basically lost my sense of taste, and smell.  It has been 6 months since I've touched that garbage, and although much less sever, I STILL struggle with breathing through both nostrils, and get the occasional scab release. (barf!)  I just this week started to gain my sense of smell back, which is truly a wonderful thing.   It was the little things I took for granted before I abused the drug!!  if I knew how easy it was for me to stop, I would've done it along time ago.  Not only my nose still suffers, but building my bank account back up is tough too!!
I hope, if you haven't done so already, you throw this sh*t out of your life and NEVER look back!  The adrenaline high is just not worth all of the corresponding health risks!  Best of luck!
