septal perforation is a hole in the nasal septum. It can occur as a result of previous nasal surgery, or as a result of a nasal fracture, and there are many more causes as well. A septal perforation is often thought of as resulting from cocaine use, but it takes a lot of money worth of cocaine to cause a hole in the septum, and trauma or previous surgery are much more common causes.
I hope you take our advice and stop now. good luck to ya
I will tell you that tonight at an AA meeting, the guest speaker talked about his cocaine use.
It wasn't pretty. He wasn't even using all that long. Maybe just a few years.
One day he blew his nose. Of course there was a lot of blood. Guess what else came out? Yup... His septum. It just came out when he blew his nose.
He's still alive. And well. And sober (five years sober today! Well actually five years and one day as I write this.) But he no longer has a septum.
I'm not telling you to stop. But sooner or later -- you will stop. It's just up to you how much you're willing to lose before you do.
After the meeting tonight, I've been picturing what it must have actually been like -- that's why I did a google search for "blew nose septum came out" and this article with your question in it is the first thing. So since your question is in front of me, I felt the need to share his story with you.
