Did I make the right decision?

I'm a long time addict. But I genuinely want to be clean. 38 years old got a beautiful wife and two months 9 month old girls. And I'm healthy.  I've tried again and again to get clean. But something in my head tells me I can't function without stuff which I think is not true. I went on the suboxin program but I'm not sure that's the right decision.

How long have you been on the program? I had to quit cold turkey due to losing insurance so I know what you mean when you say your head is telling you it can't function. Getting clean and staying clean is very hard but you can do it. Don't let your brain tell you different. Mine told me my body was in severe pain to the point I could not walk!!! It took three months for me to start functioning again. It is not easy to fight your body and that is exactly what is going on but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I can't tell you the program you are on will work but hey its worth a shot isn't it. If it doesn't you can try something else and keep trying until you find out what works for you. I discovered that I missed a lot of things when I was abusing my pills where as at the time I thought things were great. Don't let a pill come between you and your family. It is not worth it. You will go through with draws when you stop taking them.  How much do u lose a day?  What are you taking?  Does your wife know?  You have much to quit for 2 beautiful girls, what sounds like a wife you love very much, and yur self.  When you take something to alter your mind your true feelings are felt.  I wish you all the luck , I hope you make the right decision for your whole family.  Another thing what If you were drug tested at your job that could be devistatig.  You can do it.  Any question or more support look me up.
