Did this really help?

Hi! I last posted stating that I was 4 days clean, well today marks 8 days of no hydros!! Anyway, weird question..
I have had ADHD basically all of my life, so of course I've been on ritalin to help with that. I do not abuse my medication, because I know I need to have it to be able to function and concentrate like a normal person lol

Well yesterday I decided to finally take my meds.. because since I was going through w/d from hydros the thought of taking my medication sounded awful. I decided I would go ahead and try to take one, since I had a new job to start and wanted to be functioning at least half way normal, since I am still feeling that "blahhh no energy" stuff.
Well, after I took my medication I honestly felt NORMAL. I wasn't achey (achy), sick, nervous and I slept like a baby!

Since ritalin does NOT contain an opiate I keep trying to figure out why it helped. I thought maybe since some of you use xanax to relax, and i'm ADHD maybe ritalin to me is like your xanax? I dunno.

Also, to any of you going through W/D DO NOT ABUSE RITALIN JUST BECAUSE I SAID IT MADE ME FEEL BETTER.

Anybody else ever heard of this??

Amphetamines used to be very common for the lethargy involved with opiate withdrawal.  I doubt that it would fly very far as therapy today - - but you are taking the ritalin as prescribed for a legitimate condition - - you are lucky that its working out that way...... So enjoy the added benefit!  And stay completely away from the narcotics.........
