Did you flush them?

Did you flush them?

Those of you who have read my posts know that I still have over 100 vic's
in my house.

I know they need to go.
Hard, though.

Has anyone here ever flushed your supply during detox/withdrawal?

Did you or do you have them hideen in drawers etc for emergency?

Doesn't matter if you keep them or not, the only thing that will prevent you from Recovery is yourself.. I have kept them myself (Day 30 ) not for everyone, but they will always be available. Good Luck, if you have to ask Flush Um........

I always timed my detox with taking the last of the pills I had so I never was faced with that decision...it's a tough one.  But, shotrock is correct...whether you flush them or not, you can always get more.  However, may be best not to have the temptation "in your face" so to speak.  Remember that short relapse I mentioned in my last post (the one last July before the wedding?)  That one was a result of a bottle of pills laying around the house...They were a prescription the Dr. had given my hubby (fiance at the time) for a back injury.  He won't take meds unless he's dying, so there was a whole script for 90 pills.  He had forgotten they were even in the house, or he would have gotten rid of them.  I knew exactly where they were and went right to them the first time I gave into a craving...

I'd say flush them.  It could be very therapeutic, besides!!  Good luck.

I have flushed them only to get more the last time I got rid of it was by using it all in a day the ride home from my vacation. That was last Saturday I used it all up.

You are amazing to keep them this long...Girl , "If I have em, I eat em"...LOL
I think its awesome you can have them around and resist, but I know I wouldnt be able to. I'd get rid of them before something "happens" and you find yourself in a weak place. I know there are several times that I've wanted some but didnt have any and didnt want them bad enough to try to get a refill, but if it was here....ut oh.
Good luck. I hope you burn the dang things ...well unless the smell will get you high, ROFL!
Peace~

Very true...I flushed mine after I counted out my taper and whoosh they went...was therapuedic...but like stated...u can always get them if u want them...most of us anyway...it may be months from now when this experience is in the past that you reach for them...episodes of craving did not happen to me for over a month...easy access may not be a good idea as if you have to work at getting them the craving will pass before u can get them...just my thoughts and everyone is different..

A very dear friend of mine on this site encouraged me to flush what I had "as my stash" and do a jig as the swirled away. Ok, me doing a jig is not a pretty sight, but it was sort of fun dancing as they went away. I would encourage you to do the same, you won't regret the decision.

Flushing can be very freeing!! Even more so than giving them up to someone to rid of them for you.
